The Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center runs a semi-annual program called Milestone Makers where start-up founders are taken through an intense 12-week program of training, mentoring and coaching to reach a meaningful milestone. The cohort of founders for each program is chosen via application and they are typically late-early to mid-stage entrepreneurs. Each founder who is chosen is paired up with some mentors and a coach to help them reach their milestone. For the Fall 2019 Cohort, Michael Neuendorff with Bay Area Executive Coach was selected to be the coach for one founder. The founder who Michael is working with this time is Neilda Pacquing with Mindglow, Inc. The company provides VR training for Active Shooter situations.

Michael is pleased to be providing his coaching services pro bono to the Milestone Makers program, which is run by the non-profit Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. Michael likes giving back to his community in his personal life and now this is a fun and meaningful way to do it in his professional life as a Milestone Coach. He sees it as a wonderful opportunity to participate in a program that is making a difference in founders’ lives and creating a pay-it-forward scenario.

At the outset of the program, each founder sets a milestone that they will strive to reach by graduation. In this case, that will be in December in San Francisco at the Center. The coach’s job is to help them stay on track and focused on reaching this important milestone despite the myriad challenges and obstacles they’ll encounter on the way while running their fast-moving startup.

Michael’s decade of coaching experience, which as included founders of start-ups should prove valuable to the founder he has been paired up with. He is certainly as excited as they are to reach that milestone!
