Hello! It’s the final month of the year and an opportune time to reflect and learn. What should you reflect on? Here is a list of key questions you can ask yourself in a reflection session of 30 – 60 minutes. Ideally, you’ll write your answers to these questions.
- What projects went well this year? Why?
- What projects didn’t go well? Why?
- How would others describe you as a leader throughout 2025? (You can focus on short statements or adjectives.)
- How does that compare with how you want to be described?
- What are your proudest moments on the people side of leadership?
- What did you learn in 2025 that supported you being more effective?
- How can you build off of that in 2026?
- How did you get out of your comfort zone this year?
- What’s the greatest lesson you learned this year?
- What’s one action you want to take in January that will get your year off to a great start? (Make it positive. Don’t focus on something you want to stop.
